It was in her parents’ backyard. Northeast South Dakota, with prairies and farmland everywhere you turned. They had met in Colorado, at school, had gotten engaged there, but she wanted to come home to get married. He brought his family and they brought their friends from far away, and together they threw a celebration that spoke volumes about their love for each other and the people around them.
Every weekend, this is what we get to do. We gear up, scout locations, prepare for another wedding day. But it’s never just another wedding day. It is always unique. Each wedding day belongs to a couple who is very much different than the couple the week before and the week after. And that is beautiful. It is amazing that every week we can be surrounded by essentially the same event, but it always moves us in different ways. Yes, the decor is different, as are the locations, but most importantly, the people are. Each unique with a lovely story to share. And we get a glimpse of it. Every week. Our hearts overflow.
